Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Research Nurse to join our team at Medasource. As a key member of our clinical research team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and quality in our clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research screening visits for potential trial participants, including review of systems, baseline AE assessment, and documentation of concomitant medications.
  • Provide patients with comprehensive explanations of trial protocols prior to obtaining informed consent, and educate patients on an ongoing basis throughout their trial participation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of research visits, adverse events, and concomitant medications.
  • Collaborate with investigators to evaluate participant eligibility and ensure compliance with research protocols.
  • Develop and provide in-services for all approved protocols within our department, on an ongoing basis.
  • Respond to queries requiring clinical input or changes to research nurse-generated e-documentation.
  • Provide timely follow-up to all clinical patient inquiries and concerns, and refer patients to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Maintain fluency in disease-specific terminology and stay up-to-date with changes to standard of care treatment modalities for specific diseases within our department.
Requirements
  • RN/BSN degree and 2+ years of experience in oncology research nursing, with qualifying experience determined at the discretion of the Nurse Manager.
  • New York RN licensure and BLS certification.
  • Expected to obtain Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification within 6 months of assuming this role.
  • OCN, CCRP, or CCRC certification preferred.
