Job Summary

LCB Senior Living is seeking a Recreation Assistant to join our team at Suffield by the River. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families
  • Assist with the maintenance of the residence store and the organization of community activities
  • Provide transportation and escorts for residents to and from activities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of volunteer programs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in recreational therapy or a related field preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds and to push and pull carts
