Recreation Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreation Assistant to join our team at Suffield by the River, a community of LCB Senior Living. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, developing, and implementing activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outings.
• Develop and maintain a calendar of events that meets the interests and needs of our residents.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our residents.
• Provide support and assistance to residents with daily activities, such as transportation and escort services.
• Assist with maintaining and expanding volunteer programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in recreational therapy or a related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
