Substation Superintendent

At TIC - The Industrial Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our Field Supervision department, you will play a critical role in the success of our Transmission and Substation projects.

• Mentor and develop junior superintendents to ensure the growth and success of our team.
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
• Develop and implement a program to maintain positive client relationships, including staff on-site and regular meetings with clients.
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Maintain daily diaries for record-keeping purposes and ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes as needed to improve team performance and efficiency.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen to ensure the best fit for the team.

• 8+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity working on Transmission and Substation projects.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and quickly learn and understand various processes regarding company policies, procedures, and software programs.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
• Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.

This is a field-based role, and you will be required to work at various locations and conditions may vary. Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work productively and meet deadlines timely are essential for this role.
