As a full-time Child Rehabilitation Specialist, you will deliver direct care to patients across diverse treatment environments, which may encompass outpatient facilities, educational institutions, and Early Intervention programs. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial assessments, setting objectives, and formulating suitable treatment strategies, as well as guiding patients through their care plans.

What You Will Need:

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current state licensure as a physical therapist (pending applications are also acceptable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent work ethic in both independent and collaborative environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various treatment settings, including outpatient pediatrics, schools, and Early Intervention.
  • Basic understanding of treatment models used in educational and Early Intervention contexts.
  • Experience in school settings is preferred but not mandatory.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct thorough and compassionate evaluations for new patients, establish realistic goals, and create actionable treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing rehabilitation services that effectively adhere to treatment plans, IEPs, and IFSPs as applicable.
  • Document all evaluations, treatments, and relevant patient interactions in accordance with company policies and local/state regulations.
  • Skillfully and safely advance patients through the stages of treatment based on their individual capabilities.
  • Engage with patients, families, and the care team to foster a more impactful and sustainable treatment experience.
  • Educate and empower patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Pursue professional growth through involvement in professional associations, workshops, and conferences.
