Key Responsibilities- Supervise the delivery of patient care by technician staff and perform initiation, monitoring, and termination of treatment as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments, observe, monitor, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition, administer dialysis medications, and receive reports from staff members on patients under their care.
- Review patient data and communicate accurate and pertinent information to the charge nurse or physician, charting entries appropriately.
- Perform work according to nursing and facility standards, inclusive of safety protocols, following state and facility guidelines.
- Perform, verify, and document water system safely checks per unit policy; report any findings outside the normal range to the Chief Maintenance Technician.
- Respond to patient and staff concerns in a timely and appropriate manner, reporting pertinent information to the charge nurse or nurse administrator while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Educate new and existing patients and their families on the policies and procedures of the clinic, proper fluid control, and treatment adherence.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with 1 year of nursing experience.
- Current Illinois and/or Missouri RN licensure, as applicable by state of work location, in accordance with Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Washington University in St. Louis offers a competitive salary range of $29.22 - $50.81 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and performance. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
