- Manage Courier Fleet: Maintain a safe and well-maintained courier fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition and that drivers are properly trained and licensed.
- Coordinate Logistics and Warehouse Activities: Coordinate the daily activities of Logistics and the Central Laboratory Warehouse, ensuring that all supplies are delivered on time and that inventory is properly managed.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff, ensuring that all performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot Client Issues: Troubleshoot client issues, such as specimen problems and changing client accounts, and perform the duties of dispatcher for courier transport services.
- Ensure Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all courier vehicles and communication equipment are properly maintained and that all staff are trained on safety procedures.
- Associate's Degree Required: Associate's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Valid Driver's License Required: Valid driver's license in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- Leadership Experience Required: 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.
