About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication and Welding Specialist to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. as a Welder. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing various welding operations, including fabrication, welding, and weld finishing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations: Perform processes for various types of weld preparation, fabrication, welding, and weld finishing operations.
  • Manufacturing: Manufacture product-to-customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
  • Welding Techniques: Ability to weld on a flat, curved, or vertical surface, set a welding machine, and make minor adjustments as needed.
  • Material Handling: Properly load raw materials, parts, etc., into the welding fixture, remove workpieces and scrap from machines, and transport material or act as a signal crane operator to move materials.
  • Quality Control: Compare workpieces with a straight edge or template to verify conformance to specifications and clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Successful completion of an internal weld test, diploma/GED, and 2 years of working experience or equivalent training preferred.
  • Math Skills: Ability to add two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day, see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb (including ladders), work overhead, push, and pull.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) multiple times daily in a 10 to 12-hour shift, maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 180 pounds) by pushing, pulling, and flipping them into place, and work in a constant state of alertness.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Required PPE: Safety Glasses, Steel or Composite Toed Boots, and hearing protection.
