Academic Ophthalmology Position

The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and academically oriented Comprehensive and Glaucoma Specialist to join its faculty. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a clinician-educator track.
Glaucoma Specialist Overview- The clinical activity for this position will be primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute and possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics.
- Ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Children's Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, offering ample opportunities to teach Ophthalmology residents.
- The eye and vision group on campus is a physician-led department consisting of 36 physicians, nine optometrists, and five research PhDs.
- Successful candidates should bring strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW's academic missions.
- Candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, completion of Glaucoma Fellowship program, eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin, and an interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported with start-up.
- The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented comprehensive ophthalmologist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a traditional-track or clinician-educator track.
- The Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute, a national leader as a full-service academic ophthalmology center, is home to 27 physicians, 7 optometrists, and 5 faculty vision scientists whose mission is to improve, restore and preserve sight.
- Successful candidates should bring strong clinical and surgical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW's academic missions. Candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology and be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin. An interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported.
