Job Overview

Objective

The role involves creating comprehensive technical illustrations and maintaining documentation for assembly and spare parts manuals. This position collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate representation and documentation of spare parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed isometric view illustrations based on actual components, photographs, or 3D CAD models. Revise existing illustrations as necessary.
  • Combine technical illustrations with spare parts lists using page layout software.
  • Collaborate with production teams to generate assembly instructions and visual aids.
  • Compile parts lists for technical illustrations.
  • Deconstruct components for serviceable items.
  • Assign part numbers to individual components, either by creating new ones or utilizing existing numbers.
  • Update and manage current parts lists as required.
  • Print and assemble manuals for both new and existing equipment.
  • Create and maintain spare parts manuals for new and existing machinery.
  • Provide technical documentation support to Sales, Service, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Engage in stationary work approximately 85% of the time using a computer and relevant office equipment.
  • Occasionally move within the office and production areas to access files and communicate with colleagues.

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Associate degree in a technical field, such as Drafting or Illustration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in creating illustrations with graphic design software.
  • Proficiency in producing axonometric and isometric drawings.
  • Capability to compile accurate parts lists using SAP database.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Solid Edge.
