Job Summary

As a CDL Class A Driver with White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of materials to our customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Logistics
    • Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all materials are accurately received and accounted for.
    • Load and unload trucks, as well as perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
    • Manage routes and schedules to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery times and schedules, as well as to address any concerns or issues.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company safety policies.
    • Comply with all DOT regulations, including hours of service (HOS) and electronic logging device (ELD) requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including manifests and bill of ladings.
    • Perform other administrative tasks as required, such as data entry and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized skills training/certification may be required.
    • 2-5 years of experience in a related field, such as logistics or transportation.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides, with all relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated.
    • Two (2) years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred.
    • Forklift certification preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The job also requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for type of equipment being operated (i.e. Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding).
  • Two (2) years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
