- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance, providing clear and concise documentation of findings and results.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate information to project managers and other personnel, providing input on appropriate resolution of findings and assisting with project management.
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain equipment operation and calibration, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
- Leadership and Direction: Lead, provide direction, and coordinate activities of lower-level inspectors, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years' experience in construction inspection, with a valid driver's license and acceptable violation history.
- Certifications: NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils), NICET Level II certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist), ICC certification (Reinforced Concrete, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Prestressed/Post-Tensioned Concrete, Structural Steel - Bolting, Structural Steel - Welding), American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II certification (Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT)), and ACI certification in one or more of the following areas: Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
