The Patient Support Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities:- Assist in cleaning emergency spills and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Properly transport and transfer patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist with patient care, including positioning and ensuring their needs are met.
- Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use.
- Empty waste baskets, remove trash, and transport it to designated areas.
- Follow patient identification procedures to ensure accurate transport.
- Maintain par levels on housekeeping supplies and stock them as needed.
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas, following established schedules and methods.
- Remain alert to patients' conditions during transport and report any concerns to RNs or other authorities.
- Respond promptly to requests and maintain effective communication with team members.
- Monitor O2 flow meters to ensure adequate oxygen flow during patient transport.
- Scrubs and buffs floors as requested.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques and hospital operating room housekeeping experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
