Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cleaning emergency spills and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Properly transport and transfer patients, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Assist with patient care, including positioning and maintaining patient dignity
  • Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use
  • Empty waste baskets, remove trash, and transport it to designated areas
  • Follow patient identification procedures to ensure accurate transport
  • Maintain par levels on housekeeping supplies and stock as needed
  • Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas, following established schedules and methods
  • Remain alert to patient conditions during transport and report any concerns to RN or other authorities
  • Respond promptly to requests and maintain effective communication
  • Monitor O2 flow meters to ensure adequate oxygen flow during transport
  • Scrubs and buffs floors as requested
