Job Description

As a key member of the Whole Foods Market team, the Seafood Team Leader will provide strategic leadership to the seafood department, driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve market share.
  • Lead a high-performing team of seafood department associates, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and receiving to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results, including marketing, merchandising, and operations.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
  • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of seafood products, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
Working Conditions

The Seafood Team Leader will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interactions with customers, team members, and vendors. The role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as working in a refrigerated environment.
