Position Overview:


In this role, you will collaborate with our Hardware and Products teams to enhance and maintain the systems essential for assembly operations. Your contributions will be pivotal in accelerating our team's productivity and ensuring the quality of the products we introduce to the market by constructing and testing vehicles.

Qualifications:

You should possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, mathematics, or a related science.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware across sectors like automotive, consumer electronics, or aerospace.
  • Proven self-direction and the ability to deliver electromechanical hardware, supported by examples.
  • Strong skills in reading and writing comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail during assembly, along with experience in generating and modifying assembly manuals and design packages.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing hardware through various methods (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) and proficiency with relevant tools.
  • An understanding of industry standards, specifications, and requirements.
  • The capability to operate independently, lead product development and manufacturing initiatives, make informed decisions, influence outcomes, and drive tasks to successful completion.
  • U.S. Person status is necessary for accessing export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Experience in PCBA fabrication, including setup, modification, and monitoring of SMT processes.
  • Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or related control systems.
  • Engagement in personal or extracurricular projects involving electronics or mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to hand solder per J-STD and/or NASA-STD.

Work Environment:

The work environment consists of an office and light manufacturing setting, involving light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 20 lbs and frequent walking or standing. Occasional domestic travel may be required to support customer, company, and project objectives.

Please note that this position necessitates regular hands-on interaction with hardware and requires proximity to Dark Hive facilities.

Application Process:

The selection process includes a phone screen (30 minutes) to discuss your experience and learn more about our company, followed by a take-home project review or demonstration of your work contributions. The final decision will be based on a video conference review of your solution, allowing for questions and team interaction.
