Job SummaryThe Renewable Energy Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing building electrical systems, conducting technical on-site surveys, and in-office analysis on assigned projects. This role involves participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient and deferred maintenance scope on assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the production of projects that meet industry standards, client specifications, and deadlines.
- Conduct site surveys to determine existing facility conditions, identifying energy-efficient and deferred maintenance scope.
- Perform electrical system calculations, including solar energy generation, battery sizing, and generator power system sizing.
- Interact with owners, clients, and architects, preparing meeting notes and documentation for electrical systems.
- Design and prepare documentation for solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, and demand response programs.
- Assist the development team in coordinating with other disciplines, including energy modeling, financial modeling, and lighting design.
- Participate in industry organizations and attend events, meetings, and activities.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude.
- Required experience in Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- 1-3 years of energy-related client interface for an engineering design firm.
- Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings.
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job sites and office locations.
Physical/Work Environment RequirementsThis role requires ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, as well as moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
