Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will work closely with our senior clinicians to provide standardized counseling and talk therapy services to clients with mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and intake evaluations to evaluate clients' mental and behavioral health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Provide timely and professional counseling services to scheduled clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and industry standards.
- Identify and refer clients with urgent mental health conditions to appropriate emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions, including progress notes, treatment plans, and termination summaries.
- Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to review and participate in the care of clients, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to treatment.
Requirements
- Provisionally licensed mental health therapist in the State of Connecticut (LPCA, MFTA, or LMSW).
- Minimum of one year of experience conducting counseling/talk therapy sessions with diverse client populations and children.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide and maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
- Willingness to expand specialty areas of knowledge and training.
