Job Title: School Psychologist


Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to work in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special education laws and regulations. They will be responsible for conducting psycho-educational assessments, developing and implementing individualized education plans, and providing individual and group counseling to students. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their emotional and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on relevant topics.

Qualifications:



  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid State License or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and their families.
