Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging procedures, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide support to other imaging technologists as needed, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient patient care.
- Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and utilize high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as required.
- Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and quality patient care.
- Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, maintaining a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams, and maintain Infection Control standards.
- Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health Care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
- Associate's Degree in a related field of study.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
