Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Van Buren, AR. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a clinical setting, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of samples, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients in a clinical setting, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Administer oral solutions as required, following established training and guidelines.
  • Verify patient information and test orders, utilizing lab technology systems and approved tools.
  • Accurately enter data and maintain accurate records, utilizing computer systems and software.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory management, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
  • Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
