Responsibilities:


The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering safe patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The Float RN may be assigned to multiple units as needed and will maintain the necessary competencies to practice across all areas.

This role involves providing direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.

The RN also leads and instructs patient/family education and oversees the activities of other nursing staff while upholding professional nursing standards.

The RN holds direct responsibility and accountability for the care provided to assigned patients within a designated unit.

They communicate with physicians regarding any changes in the patient's clinical status, including diagnostic results and symptoms.

The RN is equipped to respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreements and/or employment status, such as full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this position is $53.51 to $71.94.

The specific starting compensation will be determined at the time of hiring, considering a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skill set, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
