Job Title: Transfer Specialist

Job Summary

The Transfer Specialist is responsible for the safe and respectful transportation of deceased individuals. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport deceased individuals to designated locations, adhering to local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facility staff to ensure seamless processes and procedures.
  • Interact with bereaved family members, exhibiting sensitivity and professionalism, while minimizing conversation.
  • Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
  • Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes, and assist with moving caskets.
Vehicle Maintenance
  • Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles to ensure they are presentable.
  • Fuel vehicles as necessary.
  • Follow safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
  • Maintain personal protective and removal supplies in vehicles, including cleaning products.
  • Identify vehicle engine or operating issues to management and drive vehicles for repair or inspection.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • At least one (1) year work experience as a courier, driver, with direct customer interaction strongly preferred.
Work Environment
  • Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Local and/or multiple location traveling required.
  • Comply with Field dress code policy.
