Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist Supervisor to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our radiologic technologists, ensuring the highest level of patient care and image quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of radiologic technologists, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accountability for patient care and image quality in assigned supervisory areas.
  • Attend leadership meetings and communicate information to staff.
  • Participate in the interview process and make recommendations for hiring staff as needed.
  • Perform annual performance appraisals and ensure mandatory in-services are completed within set time frames.
  • Train and provide current procedural updates to technologists.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with hospital process and procedure.
  • Assign studies to technologists and coordinate staff availability with other supervisors.
  • Supervise employees on all shifts and ensure all duties are performed.
  • Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures using the RIS/PACS.
  • Call preliminary reports to doctor's offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist.
  • Review and sign off for overtime submitted by staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service and hold employees accountable for the same.
Requirements
  • Five years of previous work experience as a Radiologic Technologist/Sonographer.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of hospital certificate program.
  • New York State registry eligible in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must hold current ARRT certification.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology required.
Physical Requirements

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

  • RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
  • RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Pay Range

$43.25

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
