Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. You will work closely with patients, visitors, and employees to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares room, equipment, contrast, and materials as needed for patients
Cleans and disinfects radiographic room and equipment
Prepares patients for radiographic procedures, explaining the process and assisting them throughout the exam
Follows prescribed techniques in administering specific x-rays to obtain diagnostic images
Utilizes HIS/PACs/RIS software programs to manage exams and patient information
Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
Licensed by the New York State Department of Health
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Flexibility to work overtime, including off-shift duty as needed
Preferred:
C-Arm procedure experience
