About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety/Environmental Specialist to support our existing and growing backlog of projects in environmental investigation and remediation, as well as projects in the industrial and construction market sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive Health and Safety Plans for assigned projects.
  • Provide on-site health and safety support on environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as support for commercial clients.
  • Utilize monitoring and sampling instrumentation, and possess technical expertise in the selection of hazard controls, including engineering, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain expertise with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, with an emphasis on federal OSHA regulations.
  • Lead and perform HSE audits and assessments, and lead/assist in incident investigations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and action plans, including employee training.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to HSE topics, including occupational exposure assessments, HSE project and program auditing, task-specific hazard assessments, hazard communication, indoor air quality, and training development and presentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, chemistry, toxicology, or related science.
  • Zero to three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Past consulting experience is desired but not required.
