About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and other necessary preparations for surgery.
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and answering questions as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technician or Surgical Assistant (CST or CNA) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
