Job Title: Per Diem Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our team at Jersey City Medical Center's Cardiac Post CTICU department. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Per Diem Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac Post CTICU department. This includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac Post CTICU department
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ICU nursing experience preferred
  • BLS upon hire and ACLS Certification within 6 months of start date
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • Documented completion of TCAR Trauma Care After Resuscitation every 2 years
  • Completion of Critical Care Course after 3 months
Work Schedule:

Day Shift, Per diem, 7a-7p

2 Weekend shifts per month, at least 1 weekday per month and 1 major and 1 minor holiday(s) annually
