Industrial Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team at Techniplas, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of sophisticated plastic components and multifunctional surfaces.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste by restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, and relocating workstations and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and communicate production scrap, labor, and overtime OEE reports to provide recommendations for improvement to product teams and others.
- Promote and drive continuous improvement by creating measurable goals and using various 6 sigma and lean tools to pinpoint production problems.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain rates for manufacturing routings by studying designed or conceptual production processes and operations.
- Review monthly labor history reports/OEE and make improvements to the production process or operation.
- Create and maintain capacity models for effective utilization of equipment.
- Communicate with commercial, sales, and engineering teams for new product launches and capacity projects.
- Create and maintain flowcharts, PFMEAs, routings, work instructions, routing cards, and customer-specific documents as required.
- Work with the Design group on DFEMAs and understand customer packaging design requirements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean and six sigma manufacturing techniques.
- Working knowledge in establishing measurable labor standards/takt time.
- Six Sigma/Statistical Knowledge-Yellow/Green Belt Certification.
- 1-2 years' experience with CAD/Drafting Tool design software.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Two or more years of experience in the Automotive Industry in a Lean Manufacturing role.
