Position Overview:

As an Automotive Technician at Goodyear's Auto Service centers, you will be tasked with professionally inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tires, as well as conducting various automotive services, all while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. You will also have the chance to mentor others and continuously learn about new technologies in the ever-evolving automotive sector, thriving in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and comprehensive automotive troubleshooting and testing, including road testing vehicles post-repair to confirm mechanical integrity and identify any additional issues.
  • Address brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems, while providing service recommendations.
  • Exhibit a commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive landscape.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, which entails clear communication and feedback regarding customer vehicles, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
  • Document all work performed on repair orders accurately.
  • Report any safety concerns to management without delay.
  • Encourage teamwork to ensure timely and precise customer care during all operating hours.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies regarding vehicle care and operation.
  • Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, which may involve light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • ASE Certifications.
  • Experience with exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems.
