CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to join our team in a Long Term Care setting. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the dispensing pharmacy, ensuring efficient and accurate medication dispensing.
- Monitor industry, regulatory, and compliance developments, and partner with Division Compliance Officer and pharmacy management to address any pending regulatory changes.
- Communicate and educate staff on pharmacy-related issues, such as regulatory changes, FDA drug recalls, and drug information.
- Implement quality assurance programs to ensure the quality and appropriateness of patient care, and resolve identified problems.
- Maintain records of all required pharmacist licensure and technician registrations for current staff, as required by state law.
- Ensure the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, and federal accrediting rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.
- Serve as a primary source of information and respond to internal and external customer questions or clarification of information.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Virginia, must be active and in good standing.
- Preferred qualifications include 1 year of management experience in a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager role, 1 year of pharmacist experience in a long term care dispensing role, and immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position offering 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 8am-11pm Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday between 10am-8:30pm. The weekend rotation is when needed, and the on-call requirement is when needed.
