Production Supervisor - Mushroom Harvest Team Lead

Job Summary:

The Mushroom Harvest Production Supervisor is responsible for guiding the Mushroom Harvest team within the operations department to meet quality, safety, budget, and regulatory objectives. This role involves managing mushroom production processes, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and quality parameters.
  • Champion continuous improvement in production quality, including root cause analysis and process improvement plans.
  • Manage production data analysis and reporting to improve departmental performance and efficiencies.
  • Approve production records and assist quality in investigating discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GMP, FSMA, and organic certification.
  • Meet or exceed volume, yield, and cost targets.
  • Motivate employees through communication, ongoing employee development, and coaching.
  • Conduct feedback loops and performance reviews with staff members.
  • Ensure policies are consistently followed and employee relations issues are resolved appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment in a supervisory role with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibilities and leadership.
  • Experience within the food industry, quality assurance, and/or herbal or supplement industry preferred.

  • Excellent research, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and foster teamwork and collaboration among a diverse team.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive documents and information.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct, coach, and train employees.
