As a Shift Supervisor at AutoZone, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our stores. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives and maintaining maximum productivity. You will be responsible for training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and adhering to company procedures.

You will be expected to exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts. This includes living the pledge every day and ensuring that all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
  • Assuming responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Delegating and ensuring store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Operating cash registers and following established cash handling duties
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring AutoZoners are implementing safe practices
  • Monitoring cash flow, inventory, and security control
  • Maintaining sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
  • Conducting and reviewing all opening and closing procedures
  • Managing emergency situations and conducting proper emergency procedures
  • Providing feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the Store Manager
  • Assisting with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management
  • Addressing customer concerns and resolving them in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing returns and effectively managing inventory
  • Communicating AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner
  • Motivating AutoZoners to provide WOW Customer Service, enhance productivity levels, and market products to enhance sales and profits
