Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Southwest Care Center in Albuquerque, NM. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including patient mental status, current and past histories, and medical and social history.
  • Analyze and interpret patient data, developing appropriate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe psychotropic medications and other treatments as needed, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting healthy behaviors and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 3+ years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric treatment environments.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of New Mexico.
  • Current nurse practitioner license awarded from the State of New Mexico.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid NM driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
