We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computerized tomographic services to patients, following established standards and practices under the direction of the radiologist.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, transfer, and position patients for CT scans, ensuring modesty and safety.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within the electronic medical record system.
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field by attending in-service studies, courses, or seminars as necessary.
- Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the CT scanner and surrounding area, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
- Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to CT and X-ray
- Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation safety, hazardous materials, and infection control policies
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment (100+/- lbs.)
