Job Overview

The Senior Mechanical Service Technician will play a crucial role in the commissioning and start-up of mechanical and plumbing systems. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commissioning and start-up of mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Travel to project sites as required, with approximately 20% of time spent outside of the Jacksonville, FL area.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a trade school certificate or equivalent in HVAC a plus.
  • Minimum two years of experience in management or leadership, with a strong background in HVAC maintenance and service.
  • Ten or more years of field or trade work experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on maintenance and service.
  • Valid factory start-up certifications and EPA-608 Certification (Refrigerant Recovery) are preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications are required, with training provided for other areas as needed.
