Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records. You will also engage with customers, provide product information, and resolve any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for interactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restocking shelves, cleaning equipment, and disposing of waste.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy technician certification or training preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
