Clinical Pharmacist

Overview

At Ardent Health, we're seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in a day shift, full-time capacity. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in optimizing patient care by providing safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager, overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing and IV admixture programs

• Offering drug information and guidance to healthcare professionals

• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A B.S. or Pharm D. degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting

• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship, or 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship

• An active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy

• BLS & ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue)

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
