Logistics Engineer for Microelectronics Design and Applications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Test Execution, Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and Shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and controlling the asset position of USG inventories.
  • Utilization of SAP Materials management and other inventory management systems.
  • Maintaining internal stock of lab consumable material and parts.
  • Developing a plan for periodic review of assets activity.
  • Devising and implementing methods and procedures for tracking test assets.
  • Developing, reviewing, analyzing, and implementing processes surrounding receiving, storing, kitting, and deploying materials.
  • Regularly preparing presentation content and brief stakeholders on material procurement and deployment status.
  • Authoring and submitting IHEs, SimTos, and other relevant documentation required by Global Supply Chain (GSC) for material procurement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (STEM discipline preferred) with 5 years of experience or 3 years with MS or 0 years with PhD.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Asset Tracking, Calibration, Quality Assurance, Material Management, Performing Audits.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with poly security clearance per business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI with poly security clearance.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience contacting vendors to obtain quotes.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $121,000
