About the Licensed Vocational Nurse Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support to the unit leadership and respond promptly to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice
• Use the nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities and deliver quality direct resident care
• Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and medications, observing residents for desired or unwanted effects
• Communicate and collaborate with the care team to revise and update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings
• Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses
• Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care for resident CNA assignments and activities

Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing
• Current license in good standing in New York as an Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care
• Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, and sometimes challenging residents
• Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
• Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff
