We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at Henry County Schools. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism and exceptional student education needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead small group exercises to reinforce instruction and co-teach lesson components as assigned by the teacher.
- Monitor and supervise students, providing academic, emotional, and physical support as necessary.
- Assist with preparation of materials for instruction, including copying, duplicating, and constructing display boards and learning centers.
- Perform necessary clerical tasks, such as checking students in and collecting money for school events.
- Participate in lesson planning sessions and communicate with parents and school officials.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of student and staff information.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional practices.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE).
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to perform routine physical activities, such as bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to supervise students during emergency situations.
- Essential vision, hearing, written, and verbal communication skills.
