About the Position

Wilson Elser's New York City office is seeking a Senior Complex Litigation Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex litigation matters, working closely with other attorneys and partners, and providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
  • Work closely and collaborate with other attorneys and partners
  • Regular trial preparation, investigation, court appearances, mediations and depositions
  • Communicate with clients and provide reports
Requirements
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in New York
  • 8+ years of defense litigation experience
  • Experience with defending Personal Injury, General Liability, Catastrophic Injury, Transportation, and other civil litigation matters preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Legal project management experience is helpful
  • First chair trial experience a plus

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. The expected salary range for this position is $175,000 - $215,000. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
