Job Summary

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests and ensuring the smooth operation of banquet events. This role requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up designated function rooms to meet the needs of guests and hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest and service areas.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs, ensuring positive guest relations.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in banquet operations and/or hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
  • Ability to adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
