Sales Associate for Retail Environment

Objective:

At Floor & Decor, our Sales Associates are essential in delivering friendly and precise service, assisting customers in selecting the right products for their projects. Our team members foster a dynamic and safe shopping atmosphere by ensuring that sales areas are tidy and well-stocked. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers, inquire about their projects, suggest our products, and generate excitement about their purchases.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and surpass customer expectations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, ensuring they are safe and shoppable.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to meet sales objectives.
  • Process transactions at checkout using the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges following established protocols.
  • Adhere to cash, check, and credit card processing procedures.
  • Create pricing labels and merchandise signage. Stock, tag, and display products effectively.
  • Act in alignment with the company's core values.
  • Comply with the company's safety protocols.
  • Answer phone calls according to company standards.
  • Be ready to assist in various store areas as required.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure.
  • Some roles may necessitate forklift certification through the company.
  • Where permitted by law, certification for heavy equipment use requires passing a drug test.
Work Environment:
  • Employees may occasionally work in a warehouse setting and be around moving vehicles. The noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to exert force occasionally, and/or lift 20-30 pounds frequently, and/or handle objects weighing up to 20 pounds consistently. Frequent use of hands and fingers is required, along with standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and bending.

Store Hours:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
