Job Summary

Brockton Area Multi-Servi is seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective working condition of our locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of facilities technicians to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Assume supervision of facilities management technicians and provide guidance and instruction as needed.
  • Manage facility vehicles and ensure they meet the needs of each technician.
  • Oversee projects, including routine maintenance and repairs, to ensure timely completion and quality results.
  • Assist in decisions regarding outside vendors and hiring of outside contractors.
  • Provide information to management staff for annual reviews of technicians.
  • Work with management staff to plan, schedule, and complete work projects.
  • Ensure the overall organization and cleanliness of the shop and vehicles.
  • Stay up-to-date with ADA regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Procure major tools for the team and maintain a tracking system for work performed.
  • Interact with local building departments, suppliers, and other officials to obtain necessary permits and certificates.
  • Perform routine, regular, and emergency maintenance repair activities using electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry skills.
  • Provide guidance, training, and instruction to other maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Make decisions on work priorities with the Director and identify potential problems for preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Respond to emergency situations and delegate repairs as necessary.
  • Perform general clean-up of job sites, equipment, and tools and ensure staff do the same.
  • Observe and implement safety practices while performing duties and follow all applicable laws, codes, and standards.
  • Assist with other facility department responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and at least 5 years of experience performing skilled maintenance and construction tasks.
  • 5-7 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License.
  • General aptitude and demonstrated competencies in all functional areas of facilities maintenance.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to regularly climb ladders, lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, and work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge, experience, and skill in the use of various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check (CORI).
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Strong self-directed work ethic and trustworthiness.
