Volt is actively seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Specialist .
This position is non-exempt and operates on a compressed work schedule. Candidates should be open to night shifts. The work hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, following a 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on rotation.
As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication machinery while collaborating closely with the factory management team to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Engaging with colleagues, supervisors, and the engineering team to analyze root causes of failures and utilizing insights to enhance equipment uptime to achieve production targets.
- Coordinating with vendors and technical representatives, and attending training sessions as necessary.
- Documenting all maintenance activities performed on equipment.
- Participating in shift handover meetings to relay daily operations.
- Working in a factory setting, requiring cleanroom attire and adherence to cleanroom protocols.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials and the necessity to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience is required. Exceptions may be made for highly experienced technicians.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume semiconductor environment, with maintenance experience on at least one of the specified tools.
- Adherence to all company safety protocols is mandatory.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others to implement improvements through experimentation and standardized methods.
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a solid command of written and verbal communication.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Comfort with computer operations is necessary.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office applications is advantageous.
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
- A hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership are crucial.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
- Physical capability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift and lift over 35 pounds.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks that may involve bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
- Capability to wear a respirator and other PPE when handling hazardous materials.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- We seek candidates with strong skills and experience in at least one of the following tool families:
- Applied Materials Centura DTM; Lam Alliance Metal and Oxide etch; Lam 2300 Kiyo; Lam Sequel CVD; Lam Vector CVD; Mattson Aspen II Ash; SPTS Etch/CVD.
- Experience in RF troubleshooting is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work night shifts is strongly preferred.
- Ability to create and edit specifications, training materials, and other technical documentation is highly valued.
