About the Role

Petroplan is seeking a highly skilled Site Electrical Engineer to join their team in Louisiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Plant Electrical System operates safely and reliably with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Electrical Systems: Support the development and maintenance of company procedures, processes, key performance indicators, and electrical drawings and databases.
  • Manage Change and Troubleshoot: Support the Management of Change (MOC) process, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process, and troubleshoot and solve facility electrical issues.
  • Apply Technical Expertise: Apply technical expertise to support design, installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical systems as a subject matter expert.
  • Participate in Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews: Participate as an electrical SME in Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR) and support construction process assessments during system pre-Mechanical Complete (MC) walk-downs.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience working with electrical systems, including experience with domestic and/or international electrical codes and standards.
  • Skills and Tools: Familiarity with Power Systems Modeling Tools such as ETAP/SKM, experience with switchgears, motor control centers, uninterruptible power supplies, transformers, energy management systems, and electrical system studies.
