Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Plan, develop, and implement social services policies and procedures, delivery of social work programs, and discharge planning services.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee social services case management activities, manage staff activities, and ensure their competencies.
  • Program Evaluation: Develop and manage departmental budget, identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved services, and monitor the quality assurance of social services programs and staff.
  • Community Collaboration: Identify and implement opportunities for collaboration with community organizations to develop new programs or enhance current community services available to Kaiser members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in medical social work.
  • Education: Masters degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Leadership Experience: Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in medical social work preferred.
