We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer III to join our team at LeConte Medical Center, a part of Covenant Health, our region's top-performing healthcare network. As a Cardiac Sonographer III, you will work in a dynamic Cardiac Diagnostics Department utilizing state-of-the-art technology to assist cardiologists in diagnosing congenital, structural, and disease-process cardiac issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform echocardiograms, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, to IAC standards and guidelines.
- Precept and train new employees and students in the technical aspects of echocardiography.
- Assist with ICAL credentialing and/or lead performance improvement projects for the department as deemed necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of advanced medical terminology and competent performance of critical skills.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment, supplies, and imaging areas.
- Five years' experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with preference given to individuals with experience in a hospital setting.
- Must have and maintain a CCI, ARRT, or ARDMS Registry and American Heart Association BLS certification.
