Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist - Cardiac Sonographer III to join our team in the Cardiac Diagnostics Department. As a key member of our team, you will utilize state-of-the-art technology to assist cardiologists in diagnosing congenital, structural, and disease-process cardiac issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color flow Doppler, speckle tracking, and other post-processing functionality to perform advanced ultrasound testing on patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in all facets of performing optimal studies, including pertinent clinical history, related diagnostic procedures, ultrasound physics, normal anatomy, and pathological variants.
• Assist in the maintenance of equipment, supplies, and imaging areas.
• Perform and train on correct drug, procedure, and supply charging, stock maintenance, and vendor ordering procedure.
• Efficiently coordinate daily work distribution and patient flow for both self and other staff based on experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• ARDMS certification or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in cardiac diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of advanced medical terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
